Alison is a seasoned professional bringing over 30 years of college admissions experience. A graduate of Georgetown University, she worked for 22 years in admissions at St. Lawrence University and served as the director of admissions from 2007 to 2013. She then returned to her alma mater, the Taft School, to serve as director of college counseling from 2014 to 2024. In both positions, Alison served on leadership teams for her institutions.

Alison is committed to serving students and their families as they navigate the selective admissions process. She embraces a student-centered approach encouraging students to own their process in an authentic way. The college process is a rite of passage, a chance for students to understand who they are and what they are seeking. That journey allows students to more effectively present themselves in their applications and, ultimately, make the best enrollment decision for them.

Alison’s expertise includes all aspects of the application process: academic and extracurricular review, list development (including research and visits,) essay work, interviewing skills, crafting a strong application, and guidance during the decision process.
